1. Flights

There is no nonstop Singapore–Harbin on these dates (checked 24–27 Dec day by day); every routing has one stop. The return is a daytime flight so you are home the same night and rested for work on 4 Jan.

Land on the West Slope, warm-up ski

• 09:30Land at Changbaishan Airport. The Wanda resort runs a free shuttle timed to arrivals; give the hotel your flight number before you leave (resort line 4000-987-666). 18 km, about 30 min.
• 10:30Check in at Park Hyatt and ask for early check-in; the hotel's own ski house handles rentals.
• 14:00Two easy hours on the beginner runs to get used to the cold and find your ski legs.
• 18:00Soak at Hallasan Hot Spring, Korean barbecue in the resort town, then an early night after the overnight flight.

• Wanda ski area: 43 runs, peak season 11 Dec–28 Feb. Park Hyatt is ski-in / ski-out, so the piste starts at the door.
• The wind picks up and it turns bitter after 15:00; finish at the snow-play park or the hot spring.
• Swap rule with 27 Dec: check the two-day forecast, go up to Heaven Lake on the clear day and ski on the other.

Snowmobile up to Heaven Lake, West Slope

• 08:00Private car to the West Scenic Area gate (book through the resort concierge), about 40 min.
• In winter the summit road and the 1,442 steps are closed, so a snowmobile takes you up to Heaven Lake (天池). Entry + eco-bus S$36 (¥190), snowmobile S$31 (¥165)2024–25 prices, to confirm.
• From the lake, on to Jinjiang Grand Canyon (snow-draped rock pillars), then back to the resort after lunch. It is brutally windy on top: goggles and a face mask are essential, and keep camera and phone batteries inside your jacket, they drain fast in the cold.
• 15:00One last run or a hot-spring soak; pack in the evening.

• 10:00Check out and take a private car Wanda → Erdaobaihe (二道白河) town, 90 km, about 1.5 h. Book through the Park Hyatt concierge or have Lanjing send a car.
• 12:00Check in at Lanjing: genuine hot-spring water, butler service.
• An easy afternoon in town: the Baihe left bank, Korean-Chinese food, hot-spring eggs. Early start for the North Slope tomorrow, so lights out by 22:00.

The whole North Slope: summit, waterfall, hot springs

• Winter opening hours 08:30–15:00. Erdaobaihe to the north gate is 30 km, about 40 min.
• From 2026 the North Slope package is S$51 (¥270), covering entry and the park buses; the summit shuttle (倒站车) is another S$15 (¥80)2025–26 prices, to confirm.
• Order: ride the shuttle to the summit for Heaven Lake first (it shuts before noon in high wind), then Changbai Waterfall, the Julong Hot Springs (聚龙温泉, eggs boiled in the spring water), Green Deep Pool (绿渊潭) and Little Heaven Lake. The Underground Forest depends on winter closures.
• 16:00Back to the hotel for a soak. Alarm at 04:30 tomorrow.

Rime ice at Mojie, then the train to Harbin

• 05:00Leave for the Mojie (魔界) scenic area, 10 min from town. Gates open 05:30 and the rime ice is at its best around sunrise. Entry S$13 (¥68).
• 08:00Back to the hotel for breakfast and check-out. Changbaishan station is inside Erdaobaihe town, 10 min by car.

• 14:30Taxi to the Shangri-La in Daoli district, about 30 min.
• 17:00Stroll Central Street (中央大街): a Modern (马迭尔) ice pop, Russian dinner at Huamei, then walk down to the Flood Control Monument for the Songhua River after dark.

Old-town architecture, then New Year's Eve at Ice and Snow World

• 09:30Saint Sophia Cathedral (圣索菲亚教堂): photos outside; the interior is an architecture museum.
• 11:00The Old Daowai (老道外) Chinese-Baroque quarter, with lunch at Zhang Baopu, the old steamed-bun shop.
• 13:30Play on the frozen Songhua River: snow tubes, dog sleds, ice bikes.
• 15:30Metro line 2 to Ice and Snow World (冰雪大世界); go in before sunset to watch daylight give way to the lights. Standard ticket S$62 (¥328)27th-edition price; the 28th not yet announced. There is usually a New Year countdown on 31 Dec; check the official WeChat account for that year. You will be outside for hours, so bring plenty of hand warmers and a power bank.

• 09:00Sun Island Snow Sculpture Expo (太阳岛雪博会), standard ticket S$37 (¥198), including the panda house and snow activities. A free shuttle runs from the Songbei Avenue entrance, 08:30–17:00.
• 14:00Siberian Tiger Park (东北虎林园) in Songbei, a short hop from the expo, for tigers in the snow.
• 18:00Dinner at Lao Chu Jia for guobaorou, Harbin's sweet-and-sour pork.

Flex day: Volga Manor

• First choice: half a day at Volga Manor (伏尔加庄园), Russian architecture in the snow, about 30 km from downtown.
• Afternoon: red sausage and Russian bread from Qiulin, then Gogol Street.
• This day is deliberately left open as a buffer: go back to Ice and Snow World if 31 Dec was too crowded, or catch up on anything the weather knocked out earlier.
• Pack in the evening, early night.

• 08:30Check out and taxi to Taiping Airport, about 45 min; the airport bus from the Central Street stop also works, S$6 (¥30).
• 11:40Air China departs, via Beijing, landing at Changi 21:55.
• Harbin gets snow delays in winter, which is why there is no evening flight here: leave in daytime and you still have a fallback.

3. Hotels

25 Dec–3 Jan is China's peak travel window, and the two New Year nights in Harbin go first. Lock in all three hotels now on free-cancellation rates.

4. Tickets and Booking Rules

Prices converted at 1 CNY = 0.1883 SGD on 2026-09-05; the yuan price in brackets is what you pay on the ground. Park prices are 2025–26 season figures; the 2026–27 season will be confirmed by the official announcements. Singapore passports get 30 days visa-free, so no visa is needed for this 10-day trip.
